Senior Animator, Brawl Stars

The Brawl team is full of creative professionals who work together everyday to develop the world of Brawl Stars, including a diverse cast of brawlers with their own quirky personalities. In order to bring each brawler and their story to life in the game, the team is now looking for a creative and passionate Senior Animator!

As a Senior Animator your main focus will be to give life to new Brawlers in collaboration with the rest of the team and our external animation studios. Your input and creative vision will be necessary to create appealing, high-quality character animations. You will be overseeing the work of external animation studios, providing feedback, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality animations. All in all, we’re looking for a strong communicator who takes ownership, is passionate about our games, and is continuously striving for better performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the animation development process from start to finish.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback and guidance to external animators to maintain and elevate the quality of the animation.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure the animations are feasible and aligns with game mechanics and story.
• Manage animation workflows to meet production timelines and milestones, be it with internal or external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external artists and studios, ensuring a productive and positive working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an animator with a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of styles and projects.
• Excellent proficiency in Maya, including technical knowledge and basic understanding of rigging.
• Must be a clear and concise communicator, able to deliver creative feedback and clear actionable guidance to multiple external artists.
• Passion for mobile games and a drive to create visually appealing content.
• Experience with pipeline management and implementation
